Gaming Vlog
Objective Recognising the consequences of lies.
Activity
- Pupils act out short scenes in groups.
- Game vlog intro
- A student breaks a classmate's pencil and says it wasn't him.
- The lie is revealed when another student witnesses the event.
- Conversation: How would it be better to act?
- The teacher orders some photos during the vlog game. Emphasis: The truth is difficult, but it brings a solution.

Circle chat:
- People sometimes lie for a variety of reasons. These can include avoiding punishment, protecting themselves or others from harm or hurt, gaining an advantage, maintaining social relationships, or even as a habit.

On the board, we write the guiding thought: »The truth is hard, but it brings a solution.«
MIDDLE PART
1. Game explanation vlog
- The pupils are working in groups of 3–4.
- Each group gets a description of the situation.
- Group task:
- To play out a scene with a lie,
- to show how a lie is uncovered,
- Show a better solution (truth, apology, restitution).
Example scenes:
- A pupil breaks a classmate's pencil and says it wasn't him. Another pupil sees the event.
- The pupil takes an eraser and claims it as his own. Later, it turns out to belong to someone else.
- A pupil accuses a classmate of taking his coloured pencils. It turns out the coloured pencils were left at home.
- The student denies starting the argument. The other students explain what really happened.
- A student commits a foul in football, but denies it. Several other students see the incident.
- The toy broke during the break, no one wants to admit it. The truth comes out.
- Someone is drawing on the board and denying it. A witness tells the truth.
- The pupil gets a bad grade. He lies to his parents.
- We can also make up our own examples.
The teacher emphasizes the rules of the vlog game:
- respectful speech,
- The scene should be short and clear.
2. Preparation and gameplay vlog
- Groups agree on roles.
- The teacher circulates and helps to shape the dialogue.
- With the vlog game, the teacher takes some photos or videos.
DIALOGUE BY SCENES (5–10 minutes)
After each scene, you have a conversation:
- What happened?
- Who was affected and how?
- What consequences did the lie have?
- How would it be best to proceed?
CONCLUSION (5 minutes)
Pupils in a circle say:
- the inevitable consequence of lies,
- no advantage to the truth.
The teacher's concluding thought: »The truth may not be easy, but it helps maintain trust and relationships.«
