In my lifetime, I have been confirmed again and again that our country is not only known for its natural beauty, but also for the kindness of the people who live here.

Life is like cooking. Don't skip steps. Slow goes a long way. It's not about perfection, it's about purpose. With respect, patience and trust, things always come together.

Let us be people of the heart, not of greed. Be man to man.

Mutual help, compassion and understanding are not only manifested in great deeds, but also in small moments.

Through her life's (re)experience, she has learnt that belonging is not something you are born with or a place you visit, but something you carry with you - no matter where you are.

How much you must feel the desire to make someone else happy, not just to share, but to give something that holds a special place in your heart. Just to show how much you love, respect and appreciate them. Don't be sad because you won't have it anymore. You are even happier! Because your heart is filled with the smile on the recipient's face, with his happiness!

Let us not overlook the individuals in whom there is immeasurable wealth. From them we will learn how fulfilling it is to live a modest life, without the constant rush, yet hard-working, without the glamour, the showy outward appearance, the big words that we often do not even understand ourselves. And we will learn what it means to live the fundamental human values.

The most precious legacy is the one woven from love, perseverance and the selfless help of fellow human beings.

If you look around you, in your block, your street, your suburb, your town, your shop... you can see many people who wish for a ray of sunshine to enter their world: a smile, a handshake, a hug, a short conversation or just a listen. All they need is the proximity of someone who makes them feel part of a community.

Acts of mutual assistance are not rare. Many of them can be found in our country on the sunny side of the Alps, and beyond. And as long as this is and will be the case, there is no need to worry. We can look forward to the days ahead with joy and optimism!

This kind of attention and care for others requires nothing more than simply being human.

Kindness always comes back. What you give from your heart, one day comes back to you in the most beautiful form.

Friendship, collegiality, encouragement to stand by each other, to help each other, whether or not we are at odds that day; whether we are best friends or slightly worse friends, or whether we are just something in between that day. To stand in solidarity, to help when someone is in trouble, if we can.

We realise the power of action when fortune turns to us. It always does. In a way that only those who are able to give understand. To tell, to show, to do.

Nature and people, together on one planet.

There is always time for good work, even though everyone has many things to do in a day.

As long as we have the opportunity, we will give everyone something to drink and something to eat. Money is money, but compassion is compassion. Not everything can be paid for.

We should take it for granted that we do good for others. That this is the foundation on which our nation stands. It is good to see that beautiful deeds still have an important value on our Slovenian soil.

I've done a lot of things. I have been earning my own money since I was 18, and I have learned to respect people who do their work with heart and soul, even when conditions are very bad. If we can, let us help each other and the world will be a much better place.

People really need joy in their lives - and especially the knowledge of how to see joy in the little things.

Thank you for reminding us that true joy knows no boundaries - neither age nor difference. Joy is for everyone.

Kindness to oneself brings inner peace. And once we have inner peace, it is impossible for anything to disrupt it and for peace and love to reign in the world.

A positive outlook on the world brings miracles. Don't be afraid of life. Look forward to it.

We are a kind-hearted nation that does not turn away when others are in need.

It wasn't just about a place, it was about a sense of belonging - to the people you know, to the land that shapes you and to the culture that surrounds you.

We will all be old and need help one day. If everyone could just visit their aunt, uncle, grandmother, grandfather ... just a little more, let them! Just a quick cup of tea and a biscuit or two - that can mean a lot to someone.

Moved. Grateful. Richer for the reminder of how little it sometimes takes. Richer also to know that the world is not only black, that man can still be brother to man, that it is still worth trusting ... That Slovenians are good people!

May your heart be full of compassion and kindness, and make the world around you a better place every day. Be an example to all who strive for others, whatever their own difficulties and limitations.

If I can be kind, why not?

I don't give because someone asks. I give because I know what it's like not to have. And because it makes me happy. You're never alone as long as you have someone to sit at the table with.

Every child is born with wings. Our task is to accept him as he is, to find the side of the horizon, the right wind, on which he will rest his wings and fly out into the world, with a firm belief in himself that he knows and can fly.

This note should be a thank you to everyone who has ever given unselfishly to help. Who have shown that even when the sky is full of clouds, there is still a sun that will shine.

Happiness cannot be bought, it cannot be found between the shop windows. It is in plain sight, but it is also invisible. A good deed fills our hearts when we stop thinking about giving back. Good returns good!

The greatest art is moderation. In the balance between giving and receiving. In knowing how to be - not only for others, but also for yourself.

Let us keep the faith that our world is filled with genuine and good-hearted people, honest and trustworthy!
