It is important for me to be able to disconnect from everyday worries or stress factors. That's why, after a hard day's work, I often stop in a nearby park on the way home and go for a walk, or I simply change my shoes, take my walking sticks and throw them up a nearby hill. That clears my mind. It doesn't take a lot of time, but it is an important factor in my daily relaxation. A walk in nature relaxes me, the proximity of a lake or the sea relaxes me... There, the bustle of thoughts in my head stops.
I'm not young anymore, so any stressful events can quickly take their toll on my well-being. I don't get enough sleep, I eat too much (even the fridge and I are too close friends in the evenings), I'm not focused, my mood deteriorates quickly.
That's why I try to take at least 8-10 thousand steps every day. That's enough for me, I don't want to overdo it. My joints (which can tell me exactly when there is going to be a change in the weather because they warn me with pain) are more than grateful for this. We all know that a sedentary lifestyle is not good for anyone. Especially when you pass that magic age of 40, it is all the more important. On the other hand, of course, we must not overdo it. We have to find a certain constancy in ourselves. We need to find things that make us happy and relaxed and then do them as often as possible.
Our home also has a big impact on how we feel. Have you ever watched a show about tidying up? They show people and the chaotic state of the homes they live in. When they put things in order at home, their life and well-being change.
I believe that if the apartment you live in is tidy and airy, it has a good effect on your health, on the relationships between the people who live there and, of course, to a large extent, on your well-being. Not to mention that when we find a way to keep our flat tidy, we have more time to do things that make us happy and relaxed.
