This happened one summer when Tina was walking the Lower Carniola branch of the Camino de Santiago with her friend Vida.

They knew from the morning that a long and hot day awaited them. As accommodation in Vrhtrebnje was no longer available, they had to continue their journey all the way to Trebnje (which is also slightly off the Camino de Santiago route), where they had a room booked in a hotel.

Early in the morning,.

Without hesitation, she told them: »When you arrive in Vrhtrebnje, call me. I'll come and pick you up and take you to Trebnje. In the morning, I'll bring you back so you can continue your journey.«

They were left speechless. They accepted her offer almost without a second thought and with pleasure. Tina also had quite a few blisters at that point, so walking an extra five kilometres to Trebnje would have been very difficult.

When they arrived in Vrhtrebnje, they called her. She really came for them. She then took them to the shop to buy dinner, and then there was a short drive to the hotel.

The next morning she arrived at five to pick them up, as they wanted to set off as early as possible before it became too hot. To top it all off, the lady brought them breakfast too.

That lady was a real angel to Tina and Vida. Even today, when Tina remembers her immeasurable kindness and willingness to help complete strangers, it brings her to tears. It's lovely to know that there are still people among us who are willing to selflessly help their fellow human beings and brighten their path.
