In 2020, Jožica and Vinko Škulj participated in the production of a Slovenian study documentary film entitled Gmajna.

They were invited by director and screenwriter Sebastian K. T. The whole project took four years, with most of the time spent on editing.

The title of the film comes from an old Slovenian word gmajna, which once marked a piece of land owned by the village community - a space that belonged not to an individual, but to all the villagers. It is also the name of the Slovenian village of Gmajna near Raka in the municipality of Krško, where the film-maker is from.

The film focuses on this village and its inhabitants, especially the elderly, who tell stories about a former way of life in the countryside - a life that was once closely connected to nature, the land and animals, but which is now slowly disappearing due to rapid development and modernisation. In addition to the Škuls, several other elderly people from Raka and the surrounding area have been involved in the making of the film. Thus, the film features elderly people from the countryside who talk about their lives and experiences.

Jožica and Vinko are happy to talk about their experience of acting in the film, where they appeared in their everyday environment - their home farm. Filming took place over several days in a row in different locations around their home: in the kitchen, the barn, the pastures and the orchard. During this time, they carried out normal farm chores, with the cameraman following them with his camera. The conversation was relaxed. The director asked them questions, opening up topics for reflection and narrative as they worked.

Both of them stress that it is a special honour for them to be part of this film. It is a special privilege for them to be able to present farm life as it is - simple, authentic and homely. It is values like these, they believe, that we need so much in today's world. Their thoughts and memories proved to be very precious and the presentation of such stories invaluable.

The director has received several awards for this film, including the Vesna for Special Achievement at the Slovenian Film Festival and the Franček Štiglic Award for Outstanding Direction.
