But if the clock is too early, sleep deprivation can eventually hurt like a wound, which fortunately happens to me more rarely, but still often enough to have taught me that tossing and turning in my bed and moving the clock forward in my mind is not the best thing for my psyche. So on this day, too, in the early hours of the morning - oops, it's still night - I decide to just get up and do my daily morning ritual. But this time, much slower. So, awake as an owl, I go for a warm lemonade, a workout, and then wash it all off with an icy shower. After all that fluffy I go to work like an owl.
The early hour - the golden hour; so say some colleagues. That's why I'm not alone in the office on this early morning, when it's still dark. My colleague Samo is already here - the head honcho in our office. He greets me cheerfully, "Oh, you're early today, and not only compatible!" He meant cute, but cute ☺ Oh, that's our funny Samo. Of course, he makes us a great cup of coffee to start the day even better, so it smells all over the place, but he was wrong about the amount of coffee. He brewed far too much. Given the early hour, it was a long time before we expected to see any new working and coffee-hungry souls. And now what? Let's save it for later? They say that cold coffee is a source of beauty. But we're too beautiful for that solution, hihi. And we don't fancy rinsing our throats with cold brown liquid. He just shrugs and tilts the pot towards the kitchen drain. Just before this invigorating drink is flushed down the drain and revives some rodent on the way, Samo comes up with an ingenious solution. Today, after a long time, his colleague Majda comes into the office and loves iced coffee. Just for the icing on the cake, she knocks over a cup with the following inscription great colleague and places it on Majda's desk.
Morning - no, thank you; that's what my colleague Majda says. When she comes down the stairs to the office after almost four, it sounds as if she has conquered at least Triglav. He has almost forgotten about the morning beauty cure he prepared for Majda, but her half-closed pupils open wide when she sees the writing on the cup. When she sees what's in it, she almost melts with happiness and, all excited and fully awake before the first sip of coffee, she declares, "This is what I need right now. I love iced coffee! Who made me this lovely surprise in a beautiful joke?" He just smiled mischievously. How little it takes to make the day even better. And to make our beautiful Majda even more beautiful. If not for the cold coffee, then for the contented smile, more beautiful than any gold jewellery.
