This decision was mainly motivated by the fact that he uses it to help him with some forestry work and in winter to plough snow. It is also useful for some slightly different ventures, such as the one he undertook some time ago.
One day, as Marko was driving home, he suddenly saw a younger man on the side of the road, waving him to stop. The man, who identified himself as Jan, said that he was on his way to Ljubljana-Koroška transports dog and cat food to various branches several times a month.
This time, he stopped unsuspectingly on a side dirt road to have a snack. It had rained a few days earlier, so the path was quite wet, especially along the grassy part he had driven onto. When he was about to drive the car forward and turn around, he was in for an unpleasant surprise. The car had not moved and he was stuck on the wet ground.
He found himself in a tight spot, in a hurry to move on, but he didn't know how to help himself. As there are not many people living in the area, he waited for a while before Marko drove past. They immediately set about saving the car. While Marko pushed the car from behind, Jan tried to get it off the grassy area and back onto the dirt road. But, lo and behold, the car refused to cooperate. It didn't move very far, it just sunk deeper into the ground.
"We could try it again, with you behind the wheel and me pushing the car, as I'm quite strong," Jan optimistically suggested. So they swapped positions and tried a few more times. Unfortunately, all attempts failed and Jan was in a hurry to move on, so Marko decided to try something different. "I'll go home and get the tractor, otherwise we won't make it," he suggested, and a few moments later he rushed off to get the tractor.
This proved to be a much better move, because when Marko arrived back, he hitched Jan's car to the tractor and they finally managed to get it back on the road. Jan didn't know how to thank Marko, as without his help it would have been difficult to do all that he had to do that day, but Marko just said, "It's not the first time I've helped someone in this way, and it certainly won't be the last. If I can help it, I always do."
