For many people, the student years are one of the best times of their lives.

For many, it's a time of carefree days out, socialising with friends and crushes, and dancing the night away at a wild party. It's a time for unforgettable adventures that will last forever.

My sister recently reminded me of one of the stories we shared, Marjetka Sekavčnik. It happened to me and a good friend when we were playful students. Since all three of us like to dance, one evening we decided to go to a party.

Sometimes, cops would pop in between such parties to casually check that everything was in order. Our friend absolutely loved the cops and couldn't wait for them to come around. Especially one of them, who made her eyes sparkle. Marjetka and I laughed at her, because we didn't quite understand what exactly she saw in the men in blue, but we let her enjoy it.

We enjoyed that evening as we hadn't in a long time. We danced and rejoiced and forgot all our worries. When the night was well into the morning and there were only a few people left in the disco, we decided it was time to go home. As we were leaving the venue and walking through the park, Marjetka spotted her wallet on the way. She picked it up and saw that there was quite a bit of money inside.

Someone has obviously lost their wallet. What now? Taking the money and throwing the wallet away didn't occur to any of us, so we wondered aloud what to do. Perhaps it was my friend's fondness for men in uniform that first made her think of the police. "Let's take it to the police." We had mixed feelings about this, as no one had ever been inside a police station.

At the police station, two police officers greeted us nicely and asked us what had brought us. Despite their initial reluctance, Marjetka and her friend quickly untangled their tongues and told us that we had found a wallet on the way, which someone had apparently lost. The policeman took a note and said that the wallet would be returned to its owner as soon as possible. Then we said a few more words and headed home.

Even if my friend's secret wish to meet "her" cute policeman did not come true, luck smiled on the one who got his lost wallet back.
