I believe that life loves me because it has favoured me with a person who appeared like an angel from heaven to brighten my world. She is Tatjana Šteblaj. Her name means silent, quiet, peaceful. And that is what she is as a person. She can boast that she lives in a beautiful part of the capital of Slovenia.

We have only known each other for a few years, but she has become a wonderful friend. Our friendship is based on a sincere connection and feeling for each other. Even when we are apart, we are connected by an invisible thread. We work very harmoniously. It often happens that our energies meet at the same time. No matter how busy she is with her commitments, Tatiana always takes the time to answer my messages or return my calls. I like to listen to her because she encourages me in an unobtrusive way when I am in doubt. Her reliability, her thoughtful way of speaking and the wisdom of her words strengthen our friendship.

It is Tatiana's actions that show that she is not just about silent words, but shows her care, generosity and great respect. Every day, she proves again and again that her heart is as big as the ocean and wrapped in gold. Although we rarely visit each other, these visits are very precious because they are based on a sincere connection and a willingness to stand by when either of us needs support and comfort.

Last July, I faced a loss. My mother said goodbye forever. Tatiana's presence on the phone and later at the funeral reminded me that I was not alone. I deeply appreciate the respect she showed for my late mother, especially because Tatjana is not a driver and went to the funeral despite the logistical obstacles and her unfamiliarity with my hometown.

  
One of my three brothers asked me, "Who is this lady?" When I told him that she was a friend of mine from Ljubljana, he replied that it really meant a lot to her if she had come to a funeral in a distant city. Her arrival is a confirmation that true friendships do not depend on distance, but on the heart. Surprises chosen with the heart carry a special weight.

I am grateful that our friendship is real. She is not only my company, she is the pillar on which I am building an even more fulfilling life. There is nothing better than the feeling that your friend not only knows you, but is part of something priceless. It is wonderful to have a true friend.
