A quiet, rainy day. I don't know which one in a row. There is a sense of boredom in the air.
Volunteering is one of the most beautiful forms of solidarity. It means giving something of yourself - your time, your energy, your knowledge, your warmth - without expecting anything in return.
Today I was visiting my fellow countryman Ivan Kropivnik. He is a very active 80-year-old gentleman who is present at almost all events that take place in our municipality Cerklje.

Unfortunately, in the summer of 2023, our village below Krvavec was also hit by floods. We do not remember such a disaster. Almost all the streams and torrents in the municipality were flooded.
Mr Ivan is a very active pensioner. He is a member of the drama section, the artists' association, the folklore association, plays the horn, is a woodcarver, a crib-maker, and paints hive headboards.
1991 brought winds of change. A window of dreams opened that we had not dared to dream before. The city breathed hope, people walked the streets with quiet dreams in their eyes.
