Project cards Slovenia's 5 core values We created [it/this] with the desire to introduce children and young people to values that are important for individuals, relationships, and society, in a way that they can understand, warm and playful. The purpose of the cards is to encourage discussion, reflection, and daily use of values through concrete situations, games, and activities.
In its preparation, they drew upon children's everyday experiences and the challenges they face in kindergarten, school, and their home environment. The content is age-appropriate, visually appealing, and useful for both professionals and parents in raising and strengthening positive values.
The set contains 25 playing cards – five different cards for each denomination, through which children learn about the value in several ways:
- Values introduction card (simple and child-friendly explanation of a value)
- Fairytale card (a fairytale or story through which a value is presented through a concrete example)
- Game card (suggestions for games and group activities on the theme of an individual value)
- activation card (challenges and tasks that encourage the child to take action and develop values in everyday life)
- creative card (creative activities such as drawing, songs, storytelling, movement, and other forms of expression)
The set is intended for kindergartens, schools, professionals, parents and anyone who wants to introduce children to the importance of healthy relationships and positive life values.. The cards encourage the development of social and emotional skills, empathy, cooperation, independence, a sense of belonging, and a responsible attitude towards oneself, others, and the environment.
Children gain a sense of being heard, accepted, and connected through the cards, while adults get a quality tool for conversation, shared play, and opening up important life topics. Therefore, the cards are not just a learning aid, but an invitation to relationship, collaboration, and co-creation of an environment in which values truly come to life.
