The radio ended with music and the programme continued with a discussion. It was also the week of the charity. Sabina was moved by the stories she heard. She has helped whenever she can, and this time was no different. It was her empathy that drove her to do it. She wanted to help alleviate problems where needed.
They were just talking about a little boy called Alex, who had never celebrated his birthday with friends because his parents couldn't afford it. At that time, he was celebrating his seventh birthday. The radio conversation went on, and a little later a lady came on the air and wanted to give the boy a chance to celebrate. She promised to bake a cake to his liking. So the good deeds for the boy spread.
Sabina was driven to charity by her good heart. She contacted the staff at the radio and expressed her wish to take part in the birthday party. As she makes cards/invitations and jewellery in her spare time, she wanted to make birthday invitations. The radio provided her with addresses to send the invitations to.
Sabina quickly got an idea of what the invitations should look like. When she was preparing to make them, her daughter came to the rescue. It was also a time for them to cut, assemble, glue, have fun and laugh together. This also taught her daughter about charity and the importance of being good to other people. She learned that it is right to help each other and not to expect any return. By doing so, we build a bond, which contributes to a heart and a stronger society.
Time passed quickly, and ten handmade invitations were produced in a few days. These were packed in envelopes, addressed and stamped, ready for delivery. Of course, they also sent a small gift to Alex. Both hearts and souls were full of gratitude and joy to be able to help.
Soon, however, Sabina was in for a surprise. To thank her for her willingness and help, she received a thank-you letter from Alex with a beautiful flower on it. It read: Sabina, thanks for the invitations, Alex. She was overjoyed and touched by the thanks. Her beautiful gesture let Alex know that he is not alone, but surrounded by the kindness and willingness of people.
