These are precisely the things that often give us new impetus and strength to move forward in difficult times. If kindness and the desire to help others are also present, our existence becomes even more fulfilling. In this way, as a community, we connect more, share knowledge and kindness, and promote solidarity among people.

Novomeščan David Golubič is a young man of exceptional talent. He is an abstract painter, an artist, and a guitarist, and is also known for his big heart and charitable work. Years ago, he created a pointillist painting, sold it at auction, and donated the proceeds to charity. He organised a charity event Boobs for Gala, within which, in collaboration with over 300 children and adults – including children with special needs – he created a special work of art. The painting was then sold at auction, with the funds raised going to charity. In total, they raised just over 400 euros.

David painted the background and the central motif, composed of numerous dots, which are otherwise characteristic of his works, on a large canvas. He left the left and right sides of the canvas blank, and took the painting, along with the creation materials, to a New Town teahouse where he was then employed.

»I left the painting there for three days for everyone who wanted to help but didn't have money to finish it. This way, they only had to take ten seconds of their time and add a few coloured dots to the canvas,« said David. The resulting painting is full of symbolism, vibrant colours, and incredible energy.

»I wanted to show that every action counts, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant. Our ten seconds can change someone's life. A heartfelt thank you to everyone,« he added.

You could say that the dots have become his recognisable artistic expression. At the end of the year, he is planning an exhibition of approximately twenty works. If any of the paintings are sold, he will once again donate half of the proceeds to charity.

David's creativity proves that art is not just talent, but can also be a tool for connecting people and helping those in need. His story tells us that Even many small actions from the heart can help create something beautiful and grand..
