Someone may decide to help a stranger without expecting anything in return. It is gestures like these that count the most and warm the heart.
In the afternoon, Irena parked her car in the car park. She paid the parking fee via a mobile app. Of course, she could have paid it at a parking meter, but she finds it easier to pay via the app as she drives around a lot.
She picked up her things and went off to run some errands. A few hours passed and Irena returned to the car park. She was surprised to see something stuck behind the windscreen wipers of her car. She said to herself, a little reluctantly, »But I paid the parking fee!« If you pay via the app, your registration number is recorded in the system, so the controller has to see it. She had already made a scenario in her head of how she would have to prove that the parking fee had been paid.
But to her surprise, a different surprise awaited her. It was a parking ticket! Someone must have thought that the parking fee had not been paid, so he gave her a parking ticket. Or maybe he just wanted to extend her parking ticket. At that, her mouth broke into a wide smile and joy sprang up in her heart. Since the time for paying the parking fee had already expired, she could not give the parking ticket away to brighten someone else's day. In her mind, she thanked the stranger who had made her week a little brighter, as she was not used to such gestures. She was happy to tell others about this act, and the beautiful story is spreading. Acts like this make a person feel good, because you get the most when you least expect it.
