She and Jože made a home for themselves and had six children - four daughters and two sons. Each of them brought their own character and voice, and together they filled the house with laughter, sometimes with arguments, but always with a sense of belonging. The children have enriched Franck's and Jože's life more than she could ever have imagined.
They filled their free time with hobbies that meant more to them than just entertainment. Jože was a keen beekeeper and a dedicated fireman, always ready to help, both in the village and at home. When needed, he would not hesitate to pick up a broom, a pot or a garden tool and help Frančka with her household chores. There was a quiet understanding between them, so no big words were needed.
The years passed and the house was filled again, this time with the childish laughter of twelve grandchildren. Francka and Jože were happy to host family reunions. The table was always laden with Franka's delicacies, the conversations between them were always loud and their hearts full of mutual understanding. These were the moments when the family felt most connected.
When Francka turned 89, Jože was sadly no longer with us. At that time, I, my granddaughter Maja, made her a family album with selected photos of all our faces, families, holidays and small moments. When I handed her the album, her eyes teared up. They were not tears of sadness, but tears of gratitude.
I remember the celebration as if it were today. We gathered around her and said, »Thank you, Mom, for being you. Thank you for everything. For holding us together, even when it is hard. Together, as a family, we give you this album.«
She was silent for a moment, stroking the cover and sighing deeply, then she said quietly, »You are all my home, even if you are not always with me. You are my most beautiful gift. Thank you for being with me. I love you. Remember that you can always count on your family.«
We all knew then: What binds us together is not just blood, but the love that Mama Francka has quietly sown among us all her life. And we are all proud to be part of the Mušič family.
