Integrity is a virtue that is innate to Slovenians, we have it in our cellular record. Our ancestors took it for granted, living as they felt was right, according to their conscience. This is where we differ from other peoples. We live in a place that has a different vibration from the rest of the world. Slovenians also have a different vibration. Although it is constantly being destroyed, it still lives in us. This vibration can also be called magnetism or, in Slovenian folk tradition, spirit. Because we have the least suppressed language, mythology, spiritual practice, folk tradition and a very strong connection to the earth, it is easier to feel the spirit and connect with our conscience. At the same time, we can become present.
The word honesty evolved from the verb to count, which in turn evolved from the word number. Honesty originally meant: honourable, respectable, worthy of respect; one who counts. The role, the action of each individual in our society is equally important, because everyone counts. When people come together and join forces, an immeasurable power is created that is unshakeable. This is confirmed by the old word for honesty, which is virtue. Virtue comes from strength and fortitude, from the characteristic of a person who perseveres to control morally negative inclinations and strives for the good. It is not important how many people a nation counts, but what is crucial is their determination to make each one of them act, to make it count.
Simon Prosen is a storyteller who explores the Slovenian past, spirituality and mythology in his own way. All three were called by the ancients a tale, which is the old Slovene word for history. As a storyteller, he teaches ancient knowledge and wisdom in lectures and workshops that are still useful today. He has a rich oeuvre of various contributions, and is the author of the book Povest o koreninách Slovencev (Povest o koreninách Slovenci).
